About Me

I'm Emily, and I'm passionate about sleep and supporting families! I firmly believe in a holistic, family and attachment centred approach to sleep coaching and newborn support, empowering parents to adapt to life with a newborn or work on their child's sleep problems in a gentle, loving way, with continued professional support and encouragement. The way I work never involves a non response or any form of timed crying.
You know your baby best, so I'll work closely with you using my high level training and evidence-based scientific research, plus years of my own experience working with babies and families to help you understand your child's sleep needs in a caring and respectful way.
I am always mindful of individual family wishes and parental concerns. We all parent differently based on our own values, experiences, upbringing and life style, so I work alongside parents as a team, always with the child's best interests at heart.
Why work with me?
I have over 20 years' experience working with children and babies all the way from newborn twins to teenagers - including as a Nanny, Night Nanny, Newborn Care Specialist/Maternity Practitioner, Special Needs Respite Carer and in a Primary school setting. I have cared for multiple children with complex medical needs, often overnight, and have extensive training in all aspects of child care and development.
I have two children of my own, a twelve-year-old son and a daughter, aged 16, Both have struggled with sleep problems. My son suffered with severe Gastroeosophageal Reflux and allergies as a baby and young child, so I have personal as well as professional experience of this very difficult condition. I know only too well what it is like to manage on minimal sleep and wonder how you will get through the day!
I love helping other parents get a good night's sleep or helping new parents settle in to life with a newborn – because nothing is worse than not knowing what to do or feeling constantly exhausted and not being able to enjoy your time with your baby or child. At such a special time in life, welcoming a new addition to your family, I want all parents to feel well-rested, refreshed, and able to enjoy time with their little ones!
