Emily Guiver

Hi, I'm Emily, and I'm passionate about sleep and supporting families! I firmly believe in a holistic, family and attachment centred approach to sleep coaching, empowering parents to  work on their child's sleep problems in a gentle, loving way, with continued professional support and encouragement. The way I work never involves a non response or any form of timed crying.

You know your baby best, so it's important your sleep coach works closely with you to help you understand your child's sleep needs in a caring and respectful way.

I am always mindful of individual family wishes and parental concerns. We all parent differently based on our own values, experiences, upbringing and life style, so I work alongside parents as a team, always with the child's best interests at heart.

I personally have over 25 years' experience working with children and babies all the way from newborn twins to teenagers - including as a Nanny, Night Nanny, Newborn Care Specialist/Maternity Practitioner, Special Needs Respite Carer and in a Primary school setting. I have cared for multiple children with complex medical needs, often overnight, and have extensive training in all aspects of child care and development.

I have two children of my own, a 13yr old son and a daughter, aged 17. Both have struggled with sleep problems. My son suffered with severe Gastroeosophageal Reflux and allergies as a baby and young child, so I have personal as well as professional experience and additional training in managing this very difficult condition. I know only too well what it is like to manage on minimal sleep and wonder how you will get through the day!

I am a fully qualified Childcare Practitioner, and since gaining a BND in Childhood Studies in 1997, have completed many further relevant training courses:

  • Level 6 OCN Accreditation in Holistic Sleep Coaching

  • Level 3 OCN Accreditation in Sleep Training

  • Level 3 OCN Accreditation in Reflux and Allergies

  • Courses in Transition to Motherhood, Compassionate Maternity Care, Nutrition and Nurture of the Newborn and beyond, Newborn Sepsis

  • Millpond Sleep Clinic CPD training for Professionals

  • Level 3 training in Postnatal and Infant Care to work as a Maternity Practitioner (Newborn Care Specialist)

  • ABM Breastfeeding Foundation Support Module

  • Additional Infant Feeding CPD training in both Breastfeeding and Bottlefeeding

I have previously trained in Child Protection and Safeguarding, as well as many other subjects including Autism and Anxiety, Promoting Positive Behaviour, and Social and Emotional Development in the Early Years.

I am continually looking to further my professional development and complete regular additional training, particularly in the field of Sleep, Feeding and Newborn Care.

Why work with Sweet Dreams?

Please see below for more information on my wonderful sleep coaching colleagues who I work closely alongside and who provide 1:1 support for Sweet Dreams families, and who offer the same approach and high levels of training and expertise, to help your family and little one all get more sleep!

Hi, I'm Dawn!

With a deep love and commitment to my 39 year career, supporting parents, childcare students and working as a maternity nurse and sleep consultant, my holistic and gentle approach is about providing warmth, understanding and compassion to all the families I have the pleasure of working with.

I’m especially passionate about creating access to quality infant sleep support and postnatal care, whilst delivering science-informed, evidence-based alternatives to sleep training. This comes from a place of truly understanding the complexities of parenthood, anxieties and overwhelm, combined with my mission to normalise infant sleep biology and developmental phases.

I believe passionately in supporting parents to feel confident in trusting in their own instincts as they nurture the bond and connection they have with their children.

I continue to be inspired to share my knowledge to enhance the lives of families now and in the future, helping to create healthier minds, bodies and family relationships.

I am based in Worcestershire but work remotely plus travel anywhere in the UK and worldwide to offer in person support. Packages start at £345 for a remote consultation, £425 for a home visit consultation with 2 weeks follow up email support and £475 for an overnight stay and hands on coaching from bedtime until morning, plus a weeks email support. Travel costs are in addition, depending on location. Other packages available, please book a discovery call to discuss further.
